Chianti |
Chianti, the area in which Chianti Classico wine has been produced for centuries, is |
the part of Tuscany bordered to the north by the surroundings of Florence and to the |
south by the city of Siena. This is a land of ancient traditions, civilized, in ancient times, |
by the Etruscan before and then by the Romans. This is a land of saints, warriors, great |
artists, countrymen and gentlemen, whose hills veil and unveil evocative places, |
where peace reigns supreme. A territory characterized by hillocks, farmhouses, villas, |
castles, parish churches, abbeys and broken towers, stone villages and austere |
buildings, that, since centuries, where one of the most famous Italian wines has been |
produced for five centuries. Moreover, Chianti is one of the few places in the world to |
be acknowledged as a land of wine, thanks to its countless vineyards, a very high |
concentration of wine cellars and wine bars: unique opportunities to discover and |
appreciate the products and the flavours of an ancient and generous land. |
